Why I love Poetry

As a girl of the 21st century, there is nothing like going back a couple of hundred years reading a good classical poem...
It is something that can only speak to the deepest part of a persons soul, but for every poem and every person in a different way.

Poetry has become such a lost art in today's society that it deeply saddens me.
The beauty of Poetry is in its ability to express the most complex feelings or simplest images in the most alluring way. It is truly an art form that expresses some of the purest emotions of the soul.

The reason for my love of poetry firstly stems from the process of actually writing it, and the effect it has on ones psych. From start to finish its the most rewarding process that puts all ones emotions on paper so as to take the most complex feelings and expressing them in the most beautiful, powerful images that's visual effect describes your emotions completely. It is for me the best form of Catharsis.

Secondly in the interpretation of poetry itself! Every poem will mean something different for different people according o their own personal experiences and understanding. You never know what the poet really meant you only know the effect it has on you and how it makes you feel inside.

It a personal piece of the poets heart and soul that they put into every poem
and more so it touches your heart and soul so deeply that only that poem could describe the influx of emotion.
